Welcome to my very own kitchen! I am a pretty good cook myself, so having as close to a gourmet kitchen as my modest budget would allow was important. I sunk a fair amount into my vent hood. I can blacken a well-marbled, buttered ribeye without setting off a single smoke alarm. I can also cook collards or country ham–stinky ham as my kids used to call it –without running them out of the house! Might even boil some chit’lins just to see if I can get away with it.
